Bush Office Furniture ReviewsBush office furniture is one of the pioneers of the RTA (ready to assemble) furniture move that originated in the eighties and exploded in the nineties. The beginning of the RTA furniture move was to introduce an economy line of office furniture for the home and new business entry market. At the time office furniture dealers were small mom and pop stationery stories that carried limited in store samples and mostly sold from catalogs. Discounts weren't very good, twenty percent off if you were lucky. Furniture wasn't their bread and butter, paper and pens were so furniture sales weren't very high in their priorities. By the nineties the quality was starting to improve some what and then the big box office furniture and supply chains started to open and offered one third to forty percent off on furniture. They stocked and had on display most of the available styles for the consumer to inspect and feel. But even with the improvement t with quality it was still low end furnishings. Often times if you tried to pull the furniture across carpeting it would come apart. Other manufacturers seeing the success RTA
companies were having with this lower quality furniture then they made,
they decided to add RTA to some of their offerings to capture some of
the home and small office market. Customers willing to do some assembly
work themselves were able to save a significant amount of money on both
the product and delivery since they could pick up the furniture without
the expense of a truck. Most pieces could fit into an SUV. |
